Species: Human.
Appearance: Aaron's main face is that of a white, handsome young adult male because they are not stupid. This face stand at about 6'2", with black hair of varying lengths and light blue eyes. Bit gangly, but handsome to most and rather charming besides, this is Aaron's favorite face to use when not trying to actively get some other dealers in trouble. It is based off of an old, dead movie star from the 20s who tended to star in romance and action films.
General-use faces that Aaron employs are played-by: Tom Hiddleston, Julian McMahon, Jaimie Alexander, Elizabeth Mitchell, Ryan Reynolds, Peter Sarsgaard, Spencer Grammer, Helen Mirren, Lisa Flanagan.
History: In 2012, Aaron ran into difficulties when they came across a dealer. Dealers were generally the sort of people they avoided in order to escape the wrong kinds of attention, the very government agents Aaron had avoided becoming. Curious and feeling brave from their own powerful anonymity, Aaron approached a dealer in hopes to acquire a power from under their very noses and was quickly outed by the dealer's senses. As taboo as it was to steal the powers of another dealer, this one tried to take Aaron's to immobilize them and received instead the transmogrification Aaron had acquired several months earlier. In pain and vengeful, Aaron tried to steal it back and was rewarded with an ill-fitting vision-type power before being forced to run away. It was then that Aaron decided to get back at the dealers by finding them in any city they traveled to, taking their faces, then acting with complete and total impunity no matter how much trouble and attention it might draw. Even if Aaron had never been the most conscious of their own actions, this was a new low where any negative attention would blow back onto the ones who had stolen their power and tried to take them away as a child.
The longer Aaron continued their habits, the stronger their urge for powers became. They had managed thus far on occasionally stealing a power from their nightly entertainment or even slipping it away from people otherwise unaware in chaotic moments. No matter what, Aaron never kept too many of them for fear of being found by the dealers again merely on account of how many powers they were holding. In 2013, it became a moot point as Aaron was caught in the act of using a dealer's face by a dealer himself: Jason Marks. It began a game of cat and mouse when Jason nearly cornered Aaron by pretending to be someone not himself through use of illusions, and Aaron made the getaway quick and unperturbed. It was another year of accidentally and intentionally running into each other before Aaron finally showed Jace their preferred face, having grown to trust the man outside of his identity as a dealer for never being turned in or otherwise brought to the government's attention.
By 2015, Aaron and Jace had settled into an antagonistic friendship. Aaron had made it habit to borrow Jace's powers because Jace never kept them inside of himself but rather in multiple conjured decks of cards that made it easy to acquire them without hurting anyone. It wasn't exactly sanctioned or the smart thing to do, and after a while Jace began to encourage Aaron to acquire them legally — they aren't to the point of truly considering it yet, but it was an interesting proposition nonetheless. On the other hand, shortly after showing their preferred face, Jace began to ban many fun, adult activities when Aaron was around for some stickler reason. (That reason being Jace realized Aaron's general age and noped the fuck on out.) Although it was annoying and a downer, Aaron continued to hang out with Jace for the factor of having no other friends to keep in contact with and maybe figure out what exactly Jace's problem was.
Setting: Modern day Earth, 2015. For as long as history has known it, humans have had their own special gifts. Everyone has one and only very rare cases never develop a power of their own. This has led to some anachronistic technology and history, but the world generally has a way of going in the same direction despite differences and the history of the planet is still more or less the same. Most people develop their powers between the ages of 5-8 and are taken in for physicals in order to confirm a power development and have them registered by the government for their safety and the safety of others. These powers can range from mundane to useful to quirky to outright destructive and dangerous. Those with dangerous powers may often not get to keep them depending on social status, local influence and previous history with power abuse, and may have them substituted with something of the same "set" without the same dangers. Regular people cannot hold more than one power — putting two or more powers into them results in death and permanent loss of the powers they held.
Although every set is subjective to the person and can be rather nonstandard, there exist powers that coincide better with some than others. Someone whose set is "manipulation" might find themselves more comfortable with elemental powers or something that lets them control people around them. Someone else might have the set of "nature" wherein elemental powers also work, but not the mind control. It is a type of personality power and most people are drawn to the idea of powers that would work best for them; ending up with a power outside of their set can lead to anxiety, depression and paranoia and other physical symptoms brought on by stress. Powers are generally passed down via genetics, parents having the highest chance of passing their powers down directly although it is also possible to skip generations or have other recessive powers in a family line that a child will inherit.
Levels of powers can strongly vary from individual to individual, creating different circumstances between people even with the same exact power. Aaron is an excellent example: weak shapeshifters can only change to bodies near their own size and in their own sex; stronger can do one but not the other; strongest can do all of the above and mimic other peoples' faces on instinct. Jason Marks is another good example: regenerators will often live healthy lives slightly longer than expectant ages; strong regenerators will be able to heal difficult wounds and broken bones; the strongest of regenerators can recover from fatal happenings and gain agelessness after a certain point. Note that both of these examples are dealers with an already-high level of power who have especially strong affinities to their natural powers. For a regular person to reach this level of strength and sophistication is a high and auspicious honor.
There exist in the world an exceptionally rare, exceptionally powerful subset of people. These people tend to develop two powers by age 8 and have the capability to house an infinite more inside themselves; with these specialties, these "dealers" are capable of taking powers or bestowing them upon others. Even more rare are the dealers who manifest a third power in their teens, who tend to have the highest level of power and control in their natural power sets. As they're capable of holding any and all powers, "sets" are merely a comfort to them and not a requirement. However, dealers must also deal with the growing, gnawing urge to gain more powers to fill up the void that will always be there. That urge is like an addiction and can lead to severe mental distress and physical drawbacks if the dealer does not take on more powers or learn to deal with the affliction in less harmful ways.
At the current point in time, there are only about a thousand dealers alive worldwide. All dealers are legally considered government property when they are discovered. Due to their rarity and power, they are taken from their families to be raised in facilities alongside three other dealers in order to build a new familial unit and breed loyalty. It is pretty much governmental brainwashing in order to secure powerful agents for the purpose of national security, yep. When the dealers reach the age of 20, they graduate and are assigned a station of a few local cities where they remain for the next few years dealing with mundane and necessary tasks. These range from removing powers from prisoners, collecting powers from the sick or elderly, swapping powers of citizens or otherwise assisting local law enforcement with their collection of powers. After a few years, dealers become mobile and take on larger tasks. Imagine the difference of local PD and the FBI.
Personality: To virtually anyone who would meet them, Aaron is incredibly self-centered and highly confident in their own abilities. Aaron lives in their own little world and anyone who happens to enter is only there by the grace of Aaron themselves. Life is nothing but a gigantic sandbox where the only rules that matter are the ones Aaron feels are important, such as ones for self-protection or things that will put them ahead of anyone else. This enthusiasm and freedom is curbed by the fact that Aaron is, in fact, an international fugitive on the run from just about every single government body that might capture them and indoctrinate Aaron to become a dealer loyal to their country. That is the ultimate game over and one that Aaron will avoid at all possible costs.
On the other hand, all of this does not mean that Aaron is unkind. They're not humble or well-mannered or good at holding back, but Aaron does indeed possess a heart and may often try to do nice things for people or back off on someone much less fortunate. Aaron has a sappy heart floating around somewhere with a poor survival instinct and low impulse control. As a combination of these traits, Aaron may even try to bring others into the fold of dangerous but fun activities without thinking of the consequences for those who cannot escape as easily as Aaron can. The thought counts, but Aaron hardly puts much thought into whatever they do. This has led to a small addiction to alcohol, drugs and sex through overindulgence in the last six years of their life with no one around to rein them in or otherwise guide in safe practices, perhaps even done intentionally to numb the biological addiction to collecting powers that all dealers unfortunately possess. Even if it doesn't lessen the symptoms, distracting oneself with mind-altering activities can help stave off the hunger, although eventually Aaron does still have to take in one or more powers to sate the urge that could drive them to severe mental and physical health issues if ignored for too long.
Their view on gender identity is rather simplistic for such a complicated issue. Because Aaron can be whatever they want to be, and because they feel comfortable in whatever sex they choose (certain bodies of either sex more than others), Aaron simply is whatever they feel like being. It's only ever uncomfortable when doing things that might, for some reason, require a certain body when they don't feel comfortable in that space. Aaron has no problems with their original identity and doesn't necessarily feel out of place in it so much as they feel their original face doesn't have a place in their life right now. More than anything, Aaron finds safety and comfort in places where presentation doesn't matter and they can be whichever they feel like being without having to conform to anything at all.
Abilities: As a dealer, Aaron possesses the ability to possess all the abilities. This means that they can draw powers out from others and take them into themselves, or even imbue them into inanimate objects. When making physical contact with something containing extraordinary abilities, a dealer can sense them. Typically only experienced, older dealers can get a sense of exactly what those abilities are, although all dealers do get a very general idea. Dealers tend to consider powers they receive in three different tiers: natural; set; and others. Natural powers are the ones they developed on their own and are the most comfortable extension of themselves. Powers fitting into their "set" are incredibly comfortable and are the best for battling the craving of gaining more powers. Any other powers that do not fit within their set are small fixes, things that they can use but feel no real affinity for.
Aaron personally only keeps a small handful of powers on them at a time. They have taken and used many different powers in their years on the run, but the more they keep, the more paranoid they become of being easier to find and so Aaron tries to maintain only a small set. For dealers, collecting powers can become a dangerous habit due to the druglike addiction they have to filling all of that empty space inside of themselves and never enough powers to fill it. Survival instinct wins out against the urge... most of the time. When it becomes too much, Aaron may go steal powers to hold onto for short periods before dropping them into something or someone else and moving on once the urge is somewhat satisfied.
Aaron's set is based off independence, the idea of being in complete control of themselves and their circumstances. Powers relating to this philosophy are their most natural.

Aaron's set is based off independence, the idea of being in complete control of themselves and their circumstances. Powers relating to this philosophy are their most natural.
✪ Teleportation. Aaron's first and most developed power, manifested at age 6. They use this one with complete impunity. The ability to move from one place to another over a physically-impossible distance. Aaron can use this power so fast that they will start to appear in their next location before fully disappearing from their first, and can reach anywhere on the planet they wish.Augment: Civilian / tactical.
✪ Shapeshifting. Aaron's second power, also highly developed, manifested at age 7. This is another power that is at the highest of tiers. With this power, Aaron can become anyone they wish to be no matter the age, sex or size. Their original self is like the person under all the layers a shapeshifter might put on; if Aaron were to return to their original self, they would be properly aged for how much time they have not spent in their own face despite not experiencing the growth. No shapeshifter is capable of shifting away injuries, but they are indeed capable of a sort of agelessness by never returning to their original form to die of old age.
✪Phasing. Not yet developed. Ability to occupy the same space as other physical objects.
✮ Temperature manipulation. Ability to change temperature either of themselves, another person or the climate around them in localized areas. Can be deadly if used to extreme degrees.
✮ Reflexes. Supernatural reflexes allowing Aaron to react immediately to stimuli. Always on.
✮Transmogrification.Stolen by a dealer attempting to take Aaron in. Ability to change one inanimate object into another of similar mass.
✰ 360° vision. Stolen from the very same dealer. This allows Aaron to expand their visual range to encompass every direction around them on command.
